Yes, you read correctly! Mind Controlled Sex Toys are here and while it may take a few years for them to hit the high street and online retailers this is a major step forward in the world of teledildonics also known as cyber-dildonics.
Teledildonics have been around for several years now and has been an ongoing “buzz” word in the industry (I’m unapologetic about puns). While teledildonics generally refers to internet or smartphone connected sex toys this category is expanding rapidly to include virtual reality and now mind control!
In 2014 Loveense Lush Vibe was launched which was the first sex toy controlled from Apple’s iWatch but that was just scratching the surface of what was to come. In 2016 a team of developers in France used an open-source brain-computer interface language called Open BCI to create the ability control a sex toy with the use of mind control.
Stephen des Aulnois of Erotic Culture magazine LeTagParfait was one of the people who worked on the mind controlled vibrator and while he admits using connected sex toys with a smartphone or computer is easier he goes on to say that he believes mind controlled devices are the future.
“They can solve problems of long distance sex for instance, & help disabled people to take control over their body and sexuality,” he told The Memo.
“It’s absolutely possible to turn this device into something more comfortable and prettier.”
While controlling a sex toy with your brain power takes a certain degree of practice it will only get easier with more research and improvements. Apparently, a Buddhist monk would be at complete ease and someone experienced in meditation would also have enhanced abilities with such devices. des Aulnois goes on to say that this new breakthrough will be well worth the wait.
“Controlling the sex toy with your brain is in itself a rather satisfying experience. It’s pretty crazy.”
Mind-control is also just one way we will be exploring the world of connected toys in years to come.
“You can connect objects to a lot of things,” says des Aulnois. “We connected the sex toy to a twitter hashtag, and the International Space Station. Everything is possible, you only have to imagine it.”
