Wisp or as the brand spells it W!SP are an experimental range of adult pleasure devices with a difference and the brain child of Wan Tseng an industrial designer from Taiwan, currently studying at the Royal College of Art (RCA) and Imperial College London. The W!SP collection comprises of 4 different devices each with their own unique purpose. There is the W!SP Touch, W!SP Wisper, W!SP Air and finally a sensor device for detecting arousal levels named the W!SP Pulse.
The aim of these new erotic wearables is to ‘explore the future of sexual arousal’ by focusing less on the physical and more on the pleasure of stimulation. The devices are placed on sensitive areas of the body and the micro motors within simulate a gentle feeling of touch, air blowing or to mimic a lovers breath on your skin.
W!SP Touch
The Touch device uses several small motors enclosed in a soft furry membrane and each can be adjusted to create different intensities and types of sensation to replicate the feeling of someone touching your skin. As such the device can be placed on various parts of the body in both erogenous zones but also other sensitive body parts. This is probably the most practical of and flexible of the range.
W!SP Wisper
Whisper & Air both use air-blowing mechanics to simulate the sensation of a sexual partner blowing or breathing on your flesh. Whisper is a flexible pad which also features heating capabilities. Another inspired idea combining both air blowing with the ability to heat and cool offers multiple sensory stimulation.
W!SP Air
The Air device is a necklace featuring modular elements: perfumer, auditory simulator and an air-blowing mechanism. The wearer can choose a song to play from their phone via Bluetooth and add their favorite fragrance inside the necklace to add even more dimension to the sensory pleasure. Similar to the Wisper in that it blows air but unique enough to stand on its own two feet with the additional features including sound and a scent diffuser.
W!SP Pulse
Pulse is more of a complimentary device in the collection and is a smart bracelet that can monitor the users arousal levels while using the other products or just during sexual intercourse. The device can be set to send email notifications to the user and partners sharing information about their current sexual arousal and excitement. If the device can be used in harmony with the stimulating companion products to increase and decrease intensity then it is worthy of being part of the W!SP family.
While the project is as we say experimental and for a college project it is another great example both in terms of design and functionality of what the future has to offer the world of sex.
